      Firsrt up yous ound liek a whiny biatch here. So freaking what, he comes out of v-mode kills some stuff then goes back and is untouchable from retaliatory attacks.

      It's a strategy that fighters on every server in ikariams history have employed. Just because you don't like it doesn't make you right here.

      Secondly, the CR you cited, yep, he messed up a bit there but he only lost 1024.6 military there yet in the first one that E Aguinaldo posted, he did 2815.4 damage more then his enemy did.

      This even with his small screw up he stillc ame out on top witha net gain of 1790.8 military damage dealt to his enemy.

      No one cares if you and your friends went and beat up on some other player, it's irrelevant to this thread and this CR.

      All you did mate was look like a flamin gallah.

      At least next time run the numbers before telling everyone you are an idiot.

      As for that "tactic" that you claim all "fighters" on all servers use, that's actually a common tactic for losers. You know, like Rest n Relaxation. They have yet to put together more than a 12 hr effort in this war that has been going on for weeks.

      P.S. that "other" person is the leader of Rest n Relaxation (VMODE) and he is spending lots of his time with the palm trees, just like the rest of his band of "fighters".

      Coustes whinges alot. He claims that people using vmode in wars is the cowards way out. I'd love to see you take on Alhazred in a war, she uses vmode aggressively where applicable. In case you missed the whole Beta war that's been going on for over a year now, HELL vs whatever alliance Nawlins is runnoing, the mega far,ma lliance thatw as 150 odd accounts is down to less then 40 all because an alliance with very good fighters that also use vmode to come out on top when it's the best move to do,know how to play the game. If all youc an do is call that approacha cowardly way it's no wonder you're so butthurt.

      Secondly, You've been in this war for weeks now and "Rest & Relaxation" have only been active for about 12 hours.

This server is a gold pillaging server...and like all servers, military requires a healthy portion of gold to stay intact, but unlike all other servers, this server enables the taking of gold from the enemy. Taking gold is the prime damage component, for without gold, the enemy can't maintain its army and you lose 0 troops to get entire MS scores reduced by 1000's. The prime unit for taking gold is the Spear for profit margin & the cook for taking the most per attack.

      So maybe shut up, observe, learn, and see if Alhazred will let you come play...I would be happy to school you in many ways of fighting.

      As to RNR...I showed up on that island, not more than 2hrs from the time stamp of your CR...not a soul here to muster up a fight...I will loot your towns for my troubles

    • RnR actually stands for Rock n Roll or at least that is what their alliance page says....not Rest n Relaxation....that is just something we made up since they have all seemed to go vmode. BTW....when this started a few weeks ago....there were only like 5-6 in vmode, but now there are only like 13 or so out of 33 that are active right now...and this has been only in the past couple weeks. I do understand that vmode can be a tactic used for smaller alliances when fighting a bigger one. I am well aware of what HELL is doing on Beta. She is doing what GHOST did to HFX on Theta....and most of WAR is GHOST, so...I'll let you figure the that out. But we only have 18 members, when they have 33...so who is the smaller alliance here? I don't think it's RnR....just saying

      Wells ee MS scores are allw ell and good but maintenence of an MS is also based on your towns, your effective population and ability to build an amy/fleet and maintain it. It doesn't matter how much gold is pillaged off you if at the end of the day you can break even witha n effective force toa ccomplish your goals. Most people who consider themselves a fighter only only ever look at overall damages and always dismiss small engagements out of hand. My original point on the 2 cr's posted being that one you lot won by 1k MS damages and the other you lost by 2800 odd military and so regardless he was still ahead in military damages stands. It doesn't matter what else youa ll harp on about because those two CR's show that you are still behind in military damages. Gold pillaging is all well and good but everyone has that level of military standing that relies on actual resource damage not just gold pillage.. What I'm curious about here because it seems to be a gold pillaging war server only happenstance is your statement of:

      I've never dealt with gold pillaging before so please do enlighten me - in effect it appears that gold pillage is based on units sent to pillage as opposed to cargo ships sent in like normal pillage, and that cooks pillage more gold then other units and massed spears work out at cheaper then other units equivalent because you can support more of them due to their 1 gold upkeep and cheap unit cost to produce and so can send in thousands without any real issues or detracting from main ground force composition. Is that about right?

      If so, my apologies for not understanding this.

      Well that's quite interesting the name tag change by all involved on your end, it's fitting though and my point stands, if they;ve only effectively been active for 12 or so hours over a few weeks then they are doing fairly well at resting and relaxing. :p

      That said, you and I both know it's about quality of players as opposed to numbers. Numbers only mean something when those numbers are as good or better then your combined numbers and then it's something to make a fuss about otherwise, as appears to be the case here, you're all getting worked up about hittinga farm alliance.

      On a normal server, people don't bother with posting farming hits because it doesn't show any real skill. You crushed their resistance then you farmed a butt tonne of resources, awesome but nothing to write home about, nothing entertaining to the wider viewers popping in here because there's bugger all active threads on the boards but those that are pop up on the board feed, so forgive me for not being impressed with "I pillaged 'x' amount of gold and did it 20 times. Wow. Have an internet cookie.

      I'm just surprised you haven't hit the chicken button (aka Spider Taak "tactics") yet and joined the rest of the Rest n Relaxation "fighters" on Palm Tree Island.

      Of all the accounts I actually care about, I've been in v-mode once in over 7 years of gameplay and that was for 4 days when I had zero internet coverage out bush.

      My approach tends to piss fighter only players off because if you decide to attack me, you'll get whatever resources you can till I login and then it gets down to do I respect you as a player and do i want to fight. Most of the time, I'm too lazy to give a damn so I go into I'm gonna ignore you and laugh at how much you fail mode. Essentially I go into passive donation mode which strengthens my account long term, continues my goal of having the largest mines/mills around and keeping the U.S. server domain at the top of those rankings because believe it or not, a surprising amount of people across all server domains for Ikariam actually care about those stats, and also lets me tell you and everyone who cares how many resources you failed to pillage for howvever long you stick around. here and there I may build a suicide 1 or 2 round fleet/army but I won't care if they get wiped out. It's not a cowards approach, it's a I don't give a crap about how you play and what you want, this is how I'm playing and what I want, have fun wasting your time approach.

      So when I see all these players that go into vmode that are part of a large alliance at war I also think - why don't you just all ignore the attacking alliance. Stay active just transition into a passive donate mode and development mode. On a war server, that also means cut population down so as you have workers but not gold production, it could be a little fiddly to start and whilst the attackers will parade around like a bunch of peacocks in heat over how superior they are, at the end of the day the defenders haven't vmoded and haven't slowed down their own development whilst losing very little in return.

      It's not a cowards approach, it's an approach that allows me to do what I want when I want without damaging my own development.

      And small accounts at war that have no real hope should adopt the same approach, if only to cause massive rage by their attackers and end the war prematurely because passive aggressiveness is surprisingly effective in these games.

      Most of us would give you mats to grow faster just to see this magi work of yours. Of course, not knowing who you are talking to, when you make such proclamations is kind of telling on just how high we should get our hopes up.

      Most of us have been playing this game since 2008, some of us created the very tactics you think of as generalized knowledge now.

      There is an old saying, you never know what you don't know....the question now is which of us doesn't know?
